Ninth Street Ministries Free Clinic, Inc.
The Feeding Ministry:
Ninth Street meals are served every Thursday evening from 5:30 till about 6:30.
Meals are available to anyone. No questions asked.
Meals can be delivered within the city limits, by calling the church (394-2541) or Karl Cunningham at his office (394-5333). All we need is the number of meals requested, name, address, and a phone number. Most meals are delivered.
In addition to meals we also give out groceries when available.
We will help people with food needs on days other than Thursday when special needs or emergencies arise.
Currently all meals are prepared and served in the new First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, since the equipment in the 9th Street building is out of order. Plans are underway, to build a new facility which will house the free medical clinic and the feeding ministry. We hope to get started later this year.
The churches that prepare meals for the 9th Street Feeding Ministry are as follows:
1st Thursday - St Agnes Church
2nd Thursday - First Baptist Church
3rd Thursday - First Methodist Church
4th Thursday - First Baptist Church
5th Thursday - Cherry Hill Baptist
FBC Sunday School classes rotate to prepare the meals on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month.

The clinic takes clients that qualify financially to receive drugs from Pharmaceutical Companies under their guidelines for their respective Patient Assistance Programs. In addition, the clinic provides free examinations by a licensed physician along with free prescription medications to those who do not have Medicare coverage and have no health insurance.
